Title: Simultaneous Detection of Seven Plant Growth Retardants Residues in Fruits and Vegetables by HPLC-MS/MS
Abstract: A comprehensive analytical method was established based on high liquid chromatography-electrospray ionization tandem mass spectrometry(HPLC-ESI-MS/MS) with positive ionization mode with developed for determining 7 PGRs,including choline chloride, chlormequat chloride, mepiquat chloride, ancymidol, paclobutrazol, uniconazole, and flumetralin in fruits and vegetables. The samples were extracted by methanol with ultrasonic wave assistant extraction(UAE).The extract was purified and concentrated by solid-phase extraction(SPE) with Waters Oasis HLB column(3 mL,60 mg).The separation of the target compound was performed with Thermo Hypersil Gold aQ(2.1 mm×150 mm,3 μm) column using a gradient elution. The identification of 7 PGRs was carried out by ESI under the positive mode.Effects of mobile phase and additives on ionization were investigated.Effects of the types and amounts of extraction solvents, and types of SPE column were also studied.Recoveries of 7 PGRs at three spike concentration levels ranged from 81% to 104% with relative standard deviations were below 10.0%.The detection of limits(LOD) were in the range of 0.15~1.50 μg/kg and the quantitative of limits(LOQ) were 0.47~5.00 μg/kg.The established method had the advantages of high sensitivity, nice selectivity and low detection limit, and was applied in the determining PGRs in fruits and vegetables with satisfactory results.
