Abstract: Tea consumers had a lot of new features and new changes from Qing Dynasty to the Republic of China. Ordinary people's consumption of tea were more market-oriented. People of minority group consumed more tea than before. The government often offered tea as salary to the soldiers. The foreigners' consumption of tea rised sharply. The tea consumption of government officers,intellectuals,rich businessmen,monks and Taoists were more market-oriented than ordinary people. The tea consumption of the relatives of emporor was also market-oriented. These new features and changes had produced deep influence into tea market's development.
