Title: Atmospheric turbulence profile measurement techniques based on scintillation method
Abstract: In order to research the measurement techniques of turbulence intensity profile based on scintillation effect, the theoretical base, technical plants, current development states, and advantages and disadvantages of scintillation detection and ranging(SCIDAR),scintillometer array and multi-aperture scintillation sensor, were discussed.According to the basic principle of multi-aperture scintillation measurement and the Hufnagel-Valley 5/7 model of turbulence profile,by means of theoretical simulation, the distribution of turbulence intensity profile as altitude was inversed with singular value decomposition. It could be seen from the inversed results that except the ones with 100% noise, the others were between the order of 10-15 and 10-17 and basically agree with the Hufnagel-Valley 5/7 model. It is demonstrated that the singular value decomposition can be used for data processing and meet the requirement. Finally,a modified program to overcome the shortcomings of present MASS was put forward.
