Title: Power Consumption of Mechanically Agitated Gas-liquid Reactorwith Mixed-impellers of Hydrofoil k5 and Rushton Turbine
Abstract: Gassed power consumption was measured in 0.786m i.d. vessel with mixed impellers of hydrofoil k5 and Rushton turbine. The effects of impeller combination models, distance between two impellers, location of pipe gas spargers were investigated in detail. The up- and downward flow models of hydrofoil k5 impeller were studied, correlations of gassed power consumption were proposed. Just for the decrease of gassed power consumption, the agitator structure of using hydrofoil k5 as bottom impeller, higher location of pipe gas sparger, larger distance between impellers and upward flow model is well. But these factors are cooperated with each other. The cooperation asked for the different space of impellers according to agitate speed.
