Title: Vibration Control for Stay-cable Using Optimal Control Force Strategy
Abstract: The dynamic responses of a cable with MR dampers are explored using Spencer photometric model.Vibration mitigation of the cable using MR dampers in a Semi-active mode is investigated by simulation and compared to that of passive control.The semi-active control strategies of cable vibration take the combination of the optimal damper force and the voltage control.The optimal damper force are derived by LOC(Linear Optimal Control) and PA(Pole Assignment).The voltage is converted by COC(Clipped-Optmal Control) and Hrovat method.The results demonstrate the effective dampening to the cable vibration using the proposed strategy.
