Title: Geochemical Characteristics of Rocks From Qingshuigou of Middle Qilian Ophiolete by NAA
Abstract: The contents of Rare-earth elements(REE) in harzburgite from Qingshuigou ophiolete are determined by preconcentration neutron activation analysis(NAA),and the contents of REE in basalts at the same time are also measured by instrument neutron activation analysis. The geochemical characteristics of REE indicats that harzburgite(Q_1,Q_(11),Q_(12)) is refractory residue left after partial melting of the upper mantle;tholeiite(Q_3,Q_6,Q_(10),Q_2,Q_4,Q_8) is derived from partial melting of a LILE-rich mantle wedge overlying the subduction zone. Therefore, the Qingshuigou ophiolites may be the product of island-arc volcanic activity, and probably generated in the fore or back-arc tectonic settings.
