Title: Comparative Study of Enteral and Pareteral Nutrition Support in Severe Cerebral Infarction
Abstract: Objective To compare the nutritional index and complications of enteral and pareteral nutrition support in the severe cerebral infarction patients. Methods Review and analyse 43 patients who presented with severe cerebral infarction,in which 22 patients underwent enteral nutrition (group EN) and 21 pareteral nutrition (group PN).The nutritional indexes such as HGB, TF, TP, ALB were compared and the complications such as diarrhea, windy, intestine paralysis, alimentary tract hemorrhage, hypohepatia and high blood glucose noted.Results The nutritional index between EN and PN group have no statistical difference, but the ratio of the complications in PN group are higher than that in EN. Conclusion Compared to parenteral,enteral nutrition support can improve the severe cerebral infarction patients' nutritional condition and reduce complications.Enteral nutrition support can be suggested as the better method.
