Title: Effects of SheBei ZhiKe Oral Liquid on IFN-γ and IL-4 of Children with Cough Variant Asthma
Abstract: Objective:To study the effects of SheBei ZhiKe oral liquid on the expressions of interferon-γ(IFN-γ) and interleukin-4(IL-4) of children with cough variant asthma(CVA).Method:All 95 patients were randomized into 50 cases in the treatment group and 45 cases in the control group, the treatment group took SheBei ZhiKe oral liquid and the control group ketotifen. The symptoms and body signs were recorded before and after administration, the levels of IFN-γ and IL-4 expressions were tested and compared between both groups.Result:All 39 cases were improved greatly, ten cases effective, one case ineffective among 50 cases of the treatment group, total effective rate was 98%;25 cases were markedly effective,14 cases effective and six cases ineffective, total effective rate was 86.67% among 45 cases of the control group, clinical effects of the treatment group were superior to the control group remarkably(P0.05).Comparisons between both group showed no significant meaning in IFN-γ and IL-4 before treating(P0.05),the comparisons after treating had notable difference(P0.01),IFN-γ and IL-4 expressed more significant in the treatment group(P0.05).Conclusion:Clinical effects of SheBei ZhiKe oral liquid in treating children with CVA are superior to ketotifen, which could correct the imbalance of Th1/Th2,reduce the release of pathological activated products through inhibiting the level of IL-4 and raise the level of IFN-γ,therefore to control the airway inflammation and alleviate the attack of asthma.
