Title: Determination of Chromium(VI) in Wastewater by Reversed Flow Injection Catalytic Spectrophotometry
Abstract: Chromium(Ⅵ) has the significant catalytic effect on the oxidation of methyl orange by potassium bromate in sulfuric acid medium.A method for determination of chromium(Ⅵ) by reversed flow injection spectrophotometry was established.Under the optimized conditions, the linear range of chromium(Ⅵ) is 0 to 3.0 mg/L,and the detection limit is 0.03 mg/L.When the method is used to determine chromium(Ⅵ) in industrial wastewater and electroplating waste liquor, the relative standard deviation is equal to or less than 1.2%,and the recovery with standard addition is 94.5% to 96.7% with a satisfactory result.
