Title: Mental Health and Psychological Stress of Graduate Students
Abstract: Objective To study the prevalence and the psychological stress of graduate students, and to provide bases for intervention measures. Methods A cluster sample of 2 681 graduate students in a university were surveyed by measuring scale of psychological stress of graduate students and SCL-90. Results The incidence of mental problem among graduate students was 5.15%, and doctors(7.96%) higher than that of graduate students'(4.74%). Male's (5.98%) higher than that of female's(3.38%). The main mental health problems of graduate students were compulsion, interpersonal-relationship and depression. The psychological stress of graduate students mainly came from occupation, achievement, study and economy. Conclusion The mental health status of graduate students is better than that of college students'. The main psychological stress of graduate students are coming from occupation and achievement.
