Title: An Experimental Research of Junior High School Students' Mental Health Intervention
Abstract: Objective Our study was intended to understand the status quo of junior high schoolers' mental health and the validity of mental health curriculum and individual counseling in improving their mental health.Method 373 students from Tangxi junior high school were selected as subjects and divided into an experimental group of 175 and a control group of198.The SCL-90 scale was used and a questionnaire was designed for the students to answer.According to the survey,we designed specific interpersonal counseling courses.The interpersonal psychological health education and individual counseling were offered to the experimental group only,which would be survey again after the experiment ended.Findings In the experimental group,the rate of subjects,sensitivity to interpersonal relationship,hostility,psychoticism and the total score has considerably dropped;Gender differences affects the effects of health intervention(t=-1.98,P0.05).Conclusion Interpersonal mental health curriculum and individual counseling can effectively promote junior high school students' mental health.
