Title: The Two Changes of the General Plan of the Goverment in the Early Period of the West Han Dynasty
Abstract: West Han dynasty is the first unified dynasty with continuos development in the history of China. The establishment of the unified social structure is closely related to the change of the general plan of the government in the early period of the West Han dynasty. In the very begining of the dynasty, the ruler substituted the autocratic monarchy of Qin Shihuang with the thought of Huangdi and Laotsu and achieved economic restoration and social stability. To the period Wudi, the West Han dynasty reached its prime,so Wudi gave up the thought of Huangdi and Laotsu and made Confucianism as its national general plan and accomplished the second change. This not only strengthened the Emperor's right, but also made the unified social structure as the main stream social structure of Chinese feudalistic society and left profund effect on the development of later history.
