Title: Clinical analysis of two cases of progressive supranuclear palsy
Abstract: Objective By way of studying and getting to understand the clinical features,etiology,pathology,diagnosis and treatment of progressive supranuclear palsy(PSP),the writer aims to improve the accuracy of PSP's diagnosis.Methods The writer has analyzed the clinical data of two patients with PSP who were hospitalized in the hospital in recent 3 years,with the review of related medical literatures.Results The onset of the two cases all started after 60 years of age,with such clinical manifestations as postural instability,parkinsonism,vertical supranuclear ophthalmoplegia,pseudobulbar palsy and dementia,but without abnormalities showing on their cranial MRI images.Conclusion PSNP is a rare degenerative disease of the brain with a high rate of misdiagnosis,so clinicians should pay great attention to it.
