Title: Imaging diagnosis of adjacent joint bone cyst (analysis of 12 cases)
Abstract: Objective:T o investigate the imaging diagnosis of adjacent joint bon e cyst. Methods:Imaging features of 12 cases with adjacent joint bone cyst were retrospectively analyzed. There were 12 lesions, including 4 acetabula,1 ramus,2 proximal ends of tibia,3 talus,1 collu m scapulae, and 1 caput ossis femoris. Pla in film was studied in 9 cases, CT scan was performed in 7 cases and MRI in 3 ca ses.Results:7 lesions were well-defi ned round or round-like, 3 lesions were lobulated and 2 lesions were oval. 4 lesions expansded slightly with thin sclero tic rim, 6 lesions showed incomplete separations and 4 lesions had di scontinu ous cortexes with narrow crevices. CT value of one lesion was -720HU,others rang ed from 22~55HU. MRI showed fluid-fluid level in one lesion. CT and MRI showed an intraosseous ganglion communicating with adjacent joint in 1 lesion. Conclusion: Combined with plain film,CT and MRI, it is possible to make a correct diag nosis of adjacent joint bone cyst.
