Title: NEW SPECIES OF MEZIRINAE FROM CHINA (HEMIPTERA-HETEROPTERA: ARADIDAE)
Abstract: In the present paper descriptions of 10 new species belonging to 7 genera ofMezirinae found in China are given. The genus Dimorphacantha Usinger et Matsuda(1959) is recorded for the first time. All the type specimens are deposited in theTianjin Museum of Natural History except otherwise indicated.Wuiessa truncata, sp. nov. (figs. 1-3)Differs from all the known species in having the 1st antennal segment very stout.Allied to W. spinosa sp. nov. in brachypterity, but spiracles of the 7th abdominalsegment being lateral and visible from above.Holotype ?, Hainan Is., 26 March 1964.Wuiessa spinosa, sp. nov. (figs. 4-6) Differs from W. truncata sp. nov. in having the anterior process with genaeproduced into two acute spines and distinctly surpassing middle of 1st antennal seg-ment, the postocular spines prominent, and the spiracles of 7th abdominal segmentventral and invisible from above.Holotype ?, allotype ?, Hubei (Shennongjia), 1 July 1977; paratypes 1 ?, 2 ?,Hubei.Dimorphacantha brachyptera, sp. nov. (figs. 7-8)Very similar to D. usingeri Blote, 1965 from W. Java, but size larger, 3rdantennal segment much longer than 1st and twice as long as the 2nd.Holotype ?, Yunnan (Xishuangbanna), 18 April 1958 (Institute of Zoology,Academia Sinica).Usingerida hubeiensis, sp. nov. (figs. 9-11)Close1y allied to U. flavosetosa Blote, 1955 from N. New Guinea, but 3rd segmentof antennae shorter than the 2nd and petiolated at base, postocular process distinetlypassing outer margin of eyes.Holotype ?, Hubei (Shennongjia), 20 June 1977.Odontonotus intermedius, sp. nov. (figs. 12—14)Allied to O. annulipes Hsiao, 1964 in shape, but the anterior angles of the prono-tum being subtrapezoidal, with tip protruding as a small tooth; the posterior anglesof 6th connexivum only slightly projecting beyond the base of 7th. Distinguishedfrom O. maai Kormilev, 1955 from Fujian, by lateral margin of pronotum with a bigtooth in the middle; the superior lobe of the pygophore broad and short, slightly shorter than the hind margin of globose inferior lobe.Holotype ?, Hainan Is., 12 May 1964.Artabanus hainanensis, sp. nov. (figs. 15-16)Allied to A. excelsus Bergroth, 1892 from Burma, but lateral angles of pronotummore narrow, scarcely expanded; 3rd segment of antennae distinctly longer than 1st;hind femora without a.big tooth.Holotype ?, allotype ?, Hainan Is., 28 March 1964; paratypes 1 ?, 6 ?, HainanIs.Arbanatus rotundatus. sp. nov. (figs. 17—18)Allied to A. majusculuR (Hsiao), 1964 from Yunnan, but posterior angles of 7thabdominal segment broadly rounded; 3rd segment of antenuae longest and anteriorangles of pronotum more expanded.Holotype d, Yunnan (Xishuangbanna), 19 July 1958 (Institute of Zoology,Academia Sinica).Arbanatus longiusculus, sp. nov. (fig. 19)Allied to A. inermis Kormilev, 1955 from Fujian (Shaowu), but the 1st antennalsegment strongly thickened towards apex and a little shorter than the 4th; hemelytrareaching posterior margin of 7th tergite, inner angle of corium not reaching apex ofscutellum.Holotype ?, Guangxi (Wuming), 21 May 1963, (Beijing Agr. Univ.)Mezira (Zemira) poriaicola, sp. nov. (figs. 20-22)Allied to M.(Z.) micronesica Esaki et Matsuda, 1951 from Caroline Islands(Kusaie), but the posterior angles of 7th connexival segment round, subtruneate;hypopygium (?) shorter, 9th segment (9) relatively wider.Holotype ?, allotype ?, Hubei (Yingshan), May 1964, (Nankai Univ.). Paratypes1 ?, 1 ?. Guangxi (Quanzhou).Mezira (Mezira) guangxiensis, sp. nov (fig. 23)Allied to M. (M.) undulatus Bergroth, 1892 from Sikkim, but corium reachingthe middle of the 3rd connexival segment, membrane not reticulate, posterior angles ofconnexival segment with a small spine.Holotype ?, Guangxi (Wuming), 21 May 1963.
