Abstract:The CCT curve of new C grade link-chain steel was measured by means of dilatometry,metallographical structure analysis as well as hardness test.Meanwhile,the curve of hardenability was determined by e...The CCT curve of new C grade link-chain steel was measured by means of dilatometry,metallographical structure analysis as well as hardness test.Meanwhile,the curve of hardenability was determined by end quenching.The results show that the critical cooling rate to gain all martensite is 20 ℃/s.When the cooling rate range is from 20 ℃/s to 5 ℃/s,the martensite and bainite structure is obtained.The mixed microstructure of ferrite and granular bainite can be obtained from 2 ℃/s to 0.05℃/s.Within a fairly wide cooling-rate range,no pearlite appears.The morphology of bainite is related to the cooling rate.The maximum quenching diameter of the steel which has all martensite in its center is 35 mm through the analyzing curve of CCT and hardenability.Read More
