Title: The diagnosis value of the qualitative analysis of serum cardiac troponin I for cardiac injury and necrosis
Abstract: Objective To evaluate the diagnosis value of the qualitative analysis of serum cardiac troponin I (cTnI) in cardiac injury and necrosis. Methods The qualitative analysis of cTnI and the quantitative analysis of creatine kinase (CK), the MB isoenzyme of creatine kinase (CK-MB), lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) were undergone in 25 patients with acute myocardial infarction (AMI), in 15 patients with unstable angina pectoris(UAP), in 20 patients with viral myocarditis (VMC) and 7 patients with chest pain for other reasons. Results the qualitative analysis of cTnI is more specific and has longer diagnostic window than CK-MB in AMI. It can be used in confirming the diagnosis of AMI early and especially to those patients who has occurred AMI more than 3 days. For those patients with skeleton muscle injury, the evidence of cTnI is benefit to judge if the patient has AMI or not. Conclusion: The method of the qualitative analysis of cTnI is simple and convenience, it has high specific and sensitive in diagnosis of AMI and it can be used on either ambulance or hospital.
