Title: Clinical application of ischemia modified albumin in early diagnosis of acute coronary syndrome
Abstract: Objective:To investigate the value of serum ischemia modified albumin(IMA) in the diagnosis of acute coronary syndrome(ACS).Methods:Serum IMA level in 48 inpatients with ACS(experimental group) and 120 healthy controls were detected. The ROC curve of IMA was established. The sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value(PPV) and negative predictive value(NPV) were calculated. Results:There were statistical differences in serum IMA levels between ACS group and healthy controls(P0.001).The area beneath the ROC curve for diagnosing ACS was 0.866(95% CI 0.791~0.941).In the cutoff value of IMA as 80 U/mL,the sensitivity and specificity were 81.1%% and 72.2%,respectively.PPV and NPV were 61.0% and 89.0%,respectively.Conclusion:IMA has high sensitivity and high negative predictive value, which may be valuable in the early diagnosis of myocardial ischemia and assistantly excluding ACS.
