Title: Analysis of Mechanical Behavior of an Extradosed Bridge with Diagonal Bracings Arranged in Its Box Girder in Construction Process
Abstract: To study the mechanical behavior of the extradosed bridge with its main girder having transverse bending+vertical bending mode in the construction process,the main bridge of the new Shah Amanat Bridge in Bangladesh was cited as example and the finite element software was used to simulate and calculate the construction process of the bridge.The construction precambering,the global mechanical behavior of the main structure in the construction process,the local mechanical behavior of the main girder under the action of form traveler load and the buckling stability of the box girder of the main girder in a state of two-side cantilevers were respectively calculated and with reference to the different requirements in the domestic codes and in the AASHTO,the safety of the structure was analyzed.The results of the calculation and analysis indicate that the global stress level of various components of the bridge in the construction process and the buckling stability of the main structure in a state of the longest two-side cantilevers can satisfy the relevant requirements in the codes and the different mechanical behavior indices can basically cater for the safety requirements of the structure,however,the local stress in part of the areas of the bridge is slightly great,for which the special construction technology measures should be taken.
