Title: The Merit Pay System for the University Teachers Based on KPI
Abstract: With the completion of the merit pay system reform in colleges and universities, the traditional performance appraisal could no longer supervise and motivate the teacher’s performance, but also hindered their own development and bred the academic corruptness. The author gives full consideration to the actual situation of university teachers, introduces the idea of goals definitizing, decomposing and quantifying from the KPI law in the enterprise performance management to the construction of the university teachers performance appraisal system to make it more targeted, quantitative, incentive, and more in line with the actual situation of teachers in universities. With the new performance appraisal system, the schools can promote common development with the teachers in order to achieve good environment for the purpose of colleges and universities.
