Title: Experimental study on seismic behavior of novel steel plate composite shear wall
Abstract: Based on the formation of short-limb shear walls,a novel steel plate composite shear wall system used for high-rise buildings was presented in this paper. The novel system is composed of three parts: the composite(precast cement-based light concrete plate-steel plate) shear wall with trilateral constrained, the T-shaped solid-web composite columns and the imparity flanges coupling beams.Using this structural system, the room will have no salient of structural members, and the window and door openings will be easy to set.The precast concrete plate and the concrete protective cover would enhance the fire resistance of structural components. The moment resisting frame and the novel steel plate composite shear wall were tested by horizontal jack.Static cyclic load was applied in the experimental process. The result indicates that the composite shear wall helps to raise the lateral stiffness of the moment resisting frame and enhance its energy dissipation capacity;the lateral stiffness and buckling load of the steel plate shear wall are improved by precast cement-based light concrete plates connected to steel plates;the energy dissipation capacity of the structural system, the buckling mode of steel plates, and the failure mode of precast cement-based light concrete plates are related to the constraint condition of steel plates.
