The author argues in this paper that we should act in accordance with the “Three facings”and the spirit of the National Teachers' Conference in further reforming the teaching of the courses of “DengXiaoping's Theory” and “Moral Education”. According to the author, changes should be made n the following six aspects.1) The teaching contents should be shifted from those of classic Marxism to modern Marxism. 2) Each lesson should be prepared with a specifically directed aim. It should nit just be a delivery of regular contents. 3) Classroom activities should be conducted as an interaction between the teacher and the students. They should not just be teacher directing. 4) The status of the courses should be promoted from being merely foundational disciplines to that of key disciplines. 5).The aims of the courses should not be defined as imparting knowledge, but as developing ideological and political quality. 6) Joint efforts should be made from all the teaching staff, not just from the teachers involved in the courses, in further reforming the teaching of the two courses.Read More
