Title: CATALYTIC SYNTHESIS OF BUTANONE 1,2-PROPANEDIOL KETAL BY SO~4~(2-)/TiO_2-MoO_3
Abstract: Butanone 1,2propanediol ketal was synthesized from butanone and 1,2propanediol in the presence of SO42-/TiO2MoO3. The factors influencing the synthesis were discussed and the best conditions were found out. The optimum conditions are: molar ratio of butanone to 1,2propanediol is 1∶1.5, the quantity of catalyst is equal to 0.5% feed stock, the reaction temperature is 85~114?℃, and the reaction time is 1.0?h. SO42-/TiO2MoO3 is an excellent catalyst for synthetizing butanone 1,2propanediol ketal and its yield can reach over 94.9%.
