Title: China and the New Round Agriculture Negotiations of WTO
Abstract: protection has been generally applied in the world for a long time. The conflict of benefits among different countries has led to serious defects in Agricultural Agreement, the outcome of Uruguay Round Agriculture Negotiations, so that a new round agriculture negotiations is necessary. The members of WTO respond fiercely to Chairman's proposal. There are great divergence in market access, non-trade concerns, domestic support and export subsidy between those countries led by the United States who advocate free trade of agricultural products and the countries led by EU who claim to practise agricultural protection. China should insist on the principle of fair competition during taking part in the agriculture negotiations first time as a formal member of WTO and demand to improve the conditions of market access for offering special differential treatment to new-entered developing countries. China should become a motive force of the new round agriculture negotiations.
