Abstract:Alumina modified with rare earth element yttrium was prepared by sol-gel method,using citric acid as ligand.XRD and BET were used to study the constitute of phase,pore structure and thermal stability ...Alumina modified with rare earth element yttrium was prepared by sol-gel method,using citric acid as ligand.XRD and BET were used to study the constitute of phase,pore structure and thermal stability of alumina,the results show that the addition of rare earth element yttrium can delay the phase transformation from metastable phase alumina to corundum phase(α-Al2O3),which is the most thermodynamically stable phase,improve the temperature of phase transformation,keep micro-pore of alumina from sintering,suppress the decrease of the surface area of alumina and enhance the thermal stability.Read More
