Abstract: As to the viewpoints of a series of Chinese revolutionary and construction issues, Lu Shao-qi dared to stick to seeking truth from facts and combining Marxism with Chinese realities due to his upright and unyielding character. He was broad-minded enough to take the interests of the whole into account, regarding the inner-party unity as the life of the Party with little consideration of fame, mon- ey and position. With the interests of the Party and country as first priority, he was strict with himself and set a good example of practis- ing what he preached. Although his life was full of hardship and frustration, he never lost faith in communism and devoted all his life to the great cause of the Party and people.
