Title: Study on Recovery of Pb and Zn from Zinc Acid-leaching Residue
Abstract: The process of highly-acidic chloride leaching-separation-purification was used to recover Pb and Zn from zinc acid-leaching residue in a Baojing smelter for preparing PbCl2 and ZnO.The optimum operating parameters obtained by condition tests were as follows: at the first stage, with CaCl2-slag ratio of 1/5,liquid-solid ratio of 6,hydrochloric acid concentration of 2 mol/L,reaction temperature of 90 ℃ and reaction time of 1 h,CaCl2 of 1/10 slag amount and strong hydrochloric acid of 1/60 solution volume were added as leaching solution for recycling after the supernatant fluid was returned to the original leaching residue;at the second stage,PbCl2 was purified by NaCl solution;at the third stage, iron and zinc was separated by subsection neutralization and the wastewater was treated by adding sodium carbonate.A large-scale test was conducted with the amount of raw materials increased by 10 times to verify the technological process, resulting in PbCl2 and ZnO with purities of 99.5% and 87.6%,respectively,and the recovery rate of lead and zinc being 63.7% and 72.5%,respectively.The purity of PbCl2 came up to the chemical reagent standard.
