Abstract:To discuss the dynamic expression and significance of matrix metalloproteinase(MMP)-13,MMP-2,MT-MMP2 in reversal of experimental hepatic fibrosis in rats.Experimental hepatic fibrosis rat models induc...To discuss the dynamic expression and significance of matrix metalloproteinase(MMP)-13,MMP-2,MT-MMP2 in reversal of experimental hepatic fibrosis in rats.Experimental hepatic fibrosis rat models induced by CCl_4 were prepared.In situ hybridization and immunohistochemistry methods were respectively used to detect MMP-13,MMP-2,MT-MMP2 mRNA and the related antigens in liver.MMP-13,MMP-2,MT-MMP2 were expressed in mesenchymal cells and parts of hepatocytes.Expression of MMP-13,MMP-2,MT-MMP2 were decreased gradually in fibrosis reversal.It was suggested that mesenchymal cells were the main cellular origins of MMPs.The level of expression of MMPs was closely related to hepatic fibrosis reversal.MMPs may play importantly roles in the reversal of hepatic fibrosis.Read More
