Abstract: Owing to die different understanding of the Chinese conditions, women activists in modern Chinese history came up with three deferent outlooks on women movements. Feminists advocated dial women should obtain dieir rights by participating in politics. Communist Party of China, attaching great importance to the national independence and the primary influence of overthrowing the feudalism on women's movement, would like to incorporate women movement into the political movement fighting against capitalism and feudalism. The Christen young women league stressed that women movement should revolve around the improvement of women's qualities, strengthening their abilities of social participation.
