Title: The interventional treatment in diabetic foot (Report of 8 cases)
Abstract: Objective To assess the effi cacy and safety of the interventional treatment in diabetic foot. Methods Eight patients diagnosed with diabetic foot with 11 lower extremities(Wagner,0-V) was administered. CTA showed that more than 2 subpopliteal arteries in the each lower extremity were stenosis or occlusion,in which 3 with femoral and popliteal arteries occlusion. All of them were treated by PTA with special microballoon catheter(deep,Invatec) under guidance of roadmark,2 of 11 lower extremities were implanted stent in femoral arteries. RESULT Eleven lower extremities were undergone PTA for 10 times,9 of 11 extremities restored blood flow(effective ratio 90.91%) . No response occurred in 1 case(9.09%) . Acute thrombosis in arteria dorsales pedis occurred in 1 lower extremity during operation, and the extremity was amputated at 3 months after operation because reobstruction of arteria dorsales pedis. The reserved extremities ratio was 81.82%. Conclusion It is effective and safe to treat diabetic foot with special microballoon catheter and has a high reserved extremity ratio.
