Title: Inducible effect of Guava leaves flavonoids on the antitumor effect in vitro of MDA-MB231 and cell apoptosis
Abstract: Objective To explore the inducible effect of Guava leaves flavonoids on the antitumor effect in vitro of MDA-MB231 and cell apoptosis. Methods The MTT methods was used to detect the cell growth inhibition rate, the cell apoptosis of MDA-MB231 was measured by the flow cytometry. Results The proliferation of MDA-MB231 cells was obviously restrained by the use of total Flavones in concentration and time dependent characteristics in vitro, the value of the inhibition concentration(IC50) was 270 μg/ml,the apoptosis-rate was 2.0%,15.7%,22.1%,26.2% respectively. Conclusion The use of total flavones of Psidium guajava leaves can significantly inhibit the growth of MDA-MB231 cells, perhaps, the action is relevant to the changes of the cell apoptosis way.
