Title: Research on Applicability of Midcourse Guidance Laws for Air-to-Air Missile
Abstract: This paper studies the applicability of three typical midcourse guidance law for manifold targets.Based on classfying the targets of air-to-air missile,the performance and applicability of proportional navigation guidance law,singular perturbation guidance law and trajectory shaping guidance law are analysed and simulated.The results of simulation show that the proportional navigation wastes most energy and obtains small final velocity,but its pointing error is small;the singular perturbation guidance law wastes least energy and has the most fast speed,but its pointing error is large.This kind of guidance law fits targets which fly by fixed trajectory.In the aspect of energy and speed,the trajectory shaping guidance law performs better than proportional navigation but worse than singular perturbation guidance law.It also has small pointing error.This kind of guidance law fits targets which can evade the attack of missile.
