Title: A comparative study of LDH and SOD isozymes from five kinds of animal
Abstract: Lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) and superoxide dismutase (SOD) isozymes in the four tissues (heart, lung, muscle and skin) from five kinds of animal (Carassius auratus, Pelcdiscus sinensis, Pachytriton labiatus, Rana nigromaculata hallowell and Takydromus septentrionalis) have been compared by using simultaneous development of their activity staining on a single slab gel. The results indicate that LDH and SOD isozymes have specific particularity. Animals may be identified by special zymograms. The difference of LDH isozyme in different tissues is obvious while the difference of SOD isozyme not. It is hardly possible to reveal the relation of evolution on LDH and SOD isozymes.
