Title: A Study of Grammatical Variation of Yunnan Dialect in Northern Thailand
Abstract: This is an investigation survey of the use of Chinese attributives, adverbials and complements by Chinese descendants in northern Thailand. It sums up the law of grammatical variation, and discusses the causes from the perspective of language contact theory. The research concludes that their use of Yunnan dialect in northern Thailand is under the strong influence of the Thai language, which finds expression mainly in the following: the word order of Chinese object and complement is somewhat under the influence of the Thai language, and the misuse of the Chinese topic sentence and particles is due to the negative transfer of the Thai language, which should receive more attention in their future training.
