Abstract:The genetics of resistance against powdery mildew (Erysiphe graminis f.sp. tritici ) in four wheat cultivars were analyzed.The F_1 plants from the cross of resistant cultivars Zheng 315,CP87-26-12,911...The genetics of resistance against powdery mildew (Erysiphe graminis f.sp. tritici ) in four wheat cultivars were analyzed.The F_1 plants from the cross of resistant cultivars Zheng 315,CP87-26-12,91138-16-2-13-12 and susceptible Yumai 49 were resistant to the powdery mildew.And the ratio of resistant and susceptible plants in F_2 generation fitted the expected 3 to 1.The results indicated that the resistance to powdery mildew in three cultivars was controlled by a single dominant gene.Oppositely the cross F_1 plants between N97189-2 (resistant) and Yumai 18 (susceptible) showed susceptible to the powdery mildew and the ratio of resistant and susceptible plants in F_2 generation fitted the segregation of 1 to 3.It was postulated that N97189-2 carried a single recessive and resistant gene.Read More
