Title: Analysis of Multi-component Organic Gas Adsorption Behaviors and Selectivity of Adsorbent
Abstract: The adsorption behaviors of toluene and acetone gas mixture on JH purified activated carbon at various temperatures were experimentally investigated, and described by DY model and extended Langmuir model. The adsorptive selectivity of the activated carbon to toluene and acetone was explained by extended Langmuir equilibrium equation and experimental curves, and the results indicated that extended Langmuir model fitted the experimental data better than DY equation.JH purified activated carbon can be used to separate toluene/acetone gas mixture because of its higher adsorption selectivity to toluene, and high adsorption temperature and low feed concentration lead to a good separation result.
