Abstract: Objective:To explore the MR findings of primary lymphomas in the brain. Methods:MR findings of 17 cases with primary lymphomas in the brain were retrospectively analyzed. And two cases were examined by diffuse weighted imaging.Results:34 tumor masses were found in the 17 cases. And 8 cases were found with single lesion and 9 cases were with multiple lesions. There were 29 lesions located at supratentorial region and 5 lesions located at infratentorial region. The lesions demonstrated isointensity signal(15 lesions) and slightly hypointensity signal(19 lesions) on T1WI;and isointensity signal(23 lesions),slightly hyperintensity signal(11 lesions) on T2WI.After Gd-DTPA injection, obvious homogeneous enhancement was shown in 22 lesions and hetergeneous enhancement shown in 12 lesions.Slight para-tumorous edema was found in 17 lesions, moderate edema in 17 lesions and marked edema was not found.3 lesions of 2 cases were hyperintensity on DWI.Conclusion:Most of primary lymphomas in the brain have relatively distinctive MRI features, and misdignosis can be reduced if enough attention is paid to the analysis of the MR imaging.
