Title: HSMAC Methods for Simulation of Given Pressure Boundary Flow
Abstract: The HSMAC(Highly Simplified Marker and Cell)numerical simulation method was used to research fluid flow on given pressure boundaries of flow inlet and outlet. There are mainly two methods to treat pressure boundary conditions. The first is to use the liner extrapolation of the pressure to transfer the boundary conditions to the inner region of fluid flow. The second is to use the momentum equation and mass conservation equation to obtain the velocity on the boundary where the pressure is prescribed. The results obtained by the two methods were different.By the first an approximately developing flow field near the inlet boundary was obtained, but by the second a fully developed flow field was obtained.Further analysis shows that the first method applies to the developing fluid flow, and the second method applies to the fully developed fluid flow.
