Title: The surgery for recurrent retinal detachment in eyes filled with silicone oil
Abstract: Objective:To discuss the causes,surgery method and clinical effectiv in patients with recurrent retinal detachment that filled with silicone oil.Methods:The data of 45 cases(45 eyes) with recurrent reinal detachment that filled with silicone oil was reviewed,which in causes,surgery choice,anatomic and visual function reduction.Results:In 30 eyes,silicone oil was took out,membrane peelled,and re-filled with oil or C3F8,and reset in 24 eyes.In 6 eyes,the membrane peelled,intra-drain,silicone oil supplement,intraocular photocoagulate were done,and reset in 5 eyes.In 8 eyes,extrasclera cryoapplication assoicated with sclera buckling was done and reset in 7 eyes.In remainder eye,retinal detachment was inferior limited without obvious proliferation membrane and tearing,retinal laser photocoagulation was done on post-boundary of the detachment.Visual function recoveried in 38 eyes.Conclution:In patients with recurrent retinal detachment filled with silicone oil,the detachment is more inferior,and primary cause of recurrent retinal detachment is traction of proliferation membrane postoperation.It might be ideal effective after the surgery choiced according as fundus conditions.
