Title: Drive technique of pumps optimized combination hydraulic system in shield tunneling machine
Abstract: An improved cutter head drive hydraulic system of the shield tunneling machine was proposed,which achieved energy saving by optimizing the drive power.The hydraulic system had two big variable displacement proportional pumps controlled by pilot pressure and two small variable displacement proportional pumps controlled by electric system,which compounded to drive eight variable displacement motors controlled by pilot pressure.The electro-hydraulic proportional control technique was used in the hydraulic system,where the proportional and constant power control of the two big variable displacement pumps was realized by the proportional pressure relief valve and the power limiting valve.The electro-hydraulic proportional control principle and the constant power control principle using the power limiting valve were introduced.The AMEsim simulation model of this hydraulic system was built.The characteristics of the speed responding,the constant power controlling and the cutter head speed affected by loading were analyzed.The test showed that the hydraulic system satisfied all the working condition.
