Title: Effect of dynamic assessment and intervention on functional recovery in patients with upper limb nerve injuries
Abstract: Objective To promote the functional recovery of patients with upper limb nerve injury through dynamic assessment and intervention. Methods The upper limb functions of 36 patients with upper limb nerve injury were dynamic assessed with Disability of Arm-Shoulder-Hand(DASH) at different postoperative time points, such as 1 day,8 weeks' weekends,3 months,6 months and 1 year after the operation.Corresponding interventions were provided based on the level of upper limb function within 8 weeks after operation. Results The score of DASH was 37.59±2.04 at 3 months,22.56±2.07 at 6 months, and 4.30±3.50 at 12 months after operation.Thirty-two cases were cured and four cases were improved. The cure rate was 88.89 percent. Conclusion Dynamic assessment with DASH and proper intervention can promote functional recovery in patients with upper limb nerve injury.
