Title: Effects of 3 phases rehabilitation on ADL in hemiplegia after stroke
Abstract: Objective:To investigate the effects of 6 months rehabilitation on ADL in hemiplegics after stroke. Method:80 hemiplegia patients(3 weeks) were randomly divided into rehabilitation group and control group.The patients in the control group were just only received drug treatment,and rehabilitation group were given regularly physical training except drug treatment.The evaluation was done pre-treatment and 1mon, 3mon, 6 mon post-treatment. ADL was assessed with Barthel index(BI).Result:At 1mon after stroke,rehabilitation group was significant higher than those of control group(P0.05)in personal hygiene,toilet and dressing ability. At 3mon after stroke,rehabilitation group was significant higher than those of control group(P0.05) in transfer, walking and down-up stairs ability except bladder/rectum control,feeding and showing. At 6 month rehabilitation group was significant higher than those of control group(P0.05) in 9 items except rectum control.Conclusion:Early rehabilitation training is useful for improving most of ADL items of patients with hemiplegia.
