Title: The clinical efficacy of oxymatrine combined with thymosin in treatment of 34 patients with chronic hepatitis
Abstract: Objective:To observe the efficacy and safety of oxymatrine combined with thymosin in treatment of chronic hepatitis. Methods:66 patients were randomly divided into active group( n = 34) and control group( n = 32) . Patients in active group were treated with oxymatrine 600mg·d-1 given by intramuscular injection(changed to qod after 1 month) and thymosin 50mg·d-1 given by infu-sion(change to 25mg qod given by intramuscular injection after 1 month). Patient in the control group were treated with hepatocyte growth-promoting factor 120mg·d-1 given by infusion (change to oral granule after l month) for 3 months. Results: The recovery ratio of liver function in active group was significantly better than that of control group. The negative rate of HBeAg and HBV-DNA in active group was 47.1% and 50.0% vs 28.1% and 31.3% in control group and there were significant dif-ference between groups(P0. 05) . No adverse reactions were observed. Conclusion:Combined therapy of oxymatrine and thymosin can improve liver function and inhibit HBV proliferation and can be used in treatment of chronic hepatitis B.
