Title: Clinical study on treatment of female acne vulgaris with anti-acne decoction
Abstract: Objective To observe the curative effect of Chinese Medicine for female acne vulgaris. Methods Random and comparative methods were used.The experiment patients were treated with anti-acne decoction 1 time per day. The control patients were treated with adapalene 0.1% gel topically 1 time daily.Both groups were treated for 3 months and observed the local lesion.Serum sex hormone levels were detected in front of treatment and after treatment. Results Experiment group has an total effective rate of 82.9%,and 81.8% in controlled group. Two groups have no statistics difference (P0.05).Serum levels of testosterone hormone in experiment group after treatment were lower than those in front of treatment,and no statistics difference about the serum levels ofestradiol. Conclusion Chinese Medicine has good efficiency in treating female acne vulgaris.
