Title: Optimization of Microwave-assisted Extraction of the Total Flavonoids from Reed Leaf by Response Surface Methodology
Abstract: [Objective]The research aimed to optimize the conditions for microwave-assisted extraction(MAE)of total flavonoids from reed leaf basing on response surface methodology(RSM).[Method]Based on single factor test,a central composite design was applied to monitor the effect of microwave power, extraction time,solid-liquid ratio and ethanol concentration on yield of total flavonoids(TFA).[Result]The optimum extraction conditions were as follows:extraction power of 429.6 W.Extraction time of 29.1 s.Solid-liquid ratio of 1∶33.9 and 73.6 % ethanol,at which the yield of total flavonoids was 1.54 mg/g.[Conclusion]The result was of important conducting value for the further development of reed.
