Title: Surveillance and Analysis of Bacillary Dysentery from 2005 to 2009 in Fujian,China
Abstract: [Objective] To analyze the epidemiological rules of bacillary dysentery for the disease control and prevention.[Methods] The data from notifiable disease and surveillance sites of bacillary dysentery were analyzed retrospectively.[Results] The incidences of bacillary dysentery from 2005 to 2009 were 4.31/100 000-9.28/100 000,and the annual rate was 6.58/100 000.The disease occurred with seasonal characteristics.The highest incidence was in aged 0-5(41.20/10 0000).The incidence order was as follows:scattered children,farmers,nursery children and students.The total positive rate was 2.5% and S.flexneri and S.sonnei were found only for the 5 years.The fewer cases with the typical clinical symptoms and signs were found in total 97 cases.The isolated Shigella strains were high sensitive to ciprofloxacin,gentamicin and cefotaxime.[Conclusion] The incidence of bacillary dysentery is still at high level in some areas of Fujian.The clinical symptoms are lighter and misdiagnosed easily.And with bacteria type variety and drug resistance increased,the disease prevention should be strengthened in the future.
