Title: Application of intubation with Disposcope in patients with difficult airway
Abstract: Objective To observe the application of intubation with Disposcope introscope in patients with difficult airway. Methods Forty surgical patients with difficult airway undergoing endotracheal intubation were equally randomized into two groups of A(endotracheal intubation with Disposcope) and B(endotracheal intubation with McCoy laryngoscopy).Mean arterial pressure(MAP) and HR were recorded before intubation(T1),immediately after intubation(T2) and at 1 min after intubation(T3).The duration and times of intubation as well as complications were compared.ResultsCompared to T1,MAP was significantly increased at T2 and T3 in both groups(P0.05).MAP and HR at T2 were lower in group A than those in group B(P0.05).The time for intubation was shorter in group A than that in group B [(43.9±14.5) s vs.(90.4±26.6) s](P0.01).The success rate of intubation at the first attempt was higher in group A than that in group B(85.0% vs.60.0%)(P0.05).Conclusion In the patients with difficult airway, tracheal intubation with Disposcope is better than that with McCoy laryngoscope in increasing the success rate of intubation, shortening the duration for intubation and reducing the stress response to intubation.
