Title: A review of the academic degree system in missionary universities in late Qing Dynasty
Abstract: This paper makes a detailed study of the establishment of the degree system in missionary universities in late Qing Dynasty as well as an objective assessment. Missionary universities in late Qing Dynasty not only provided an important channel to introduce western academic degree system, but also played an exemplary role in higher education practices in modern China, which to some degree promotes the establishment and development of academic degree system in modern China.
