Title: Control Study of Therapeutic Effects of Paroxetine and Amitriptyline on Patients with Schizophrenina Accompanying Depression and Anxiety
Abstract: Objective To explore the clinical therapeutic effects and safety of paroxetine and amitriptyline in schixophreni-na patients with depression and anxiety.Method Sixty schixophrenina patients with depression and anxiety were divided into twogroups,i.e.the group treated by antischizophrenic durgs and paroxetine(32 cases)and the group treated by antischzophrenic drugsand amitfiptyline(28 cases).The theraphic effects on both the group were evaluated by HAMA,HAMD and Tess before the treat-ment,and 2,4,6 and 8 weeks after the treatment.Result There were insignificant difference in HAMD and HAMA between both thegroups 2,4,6 and 8 weeks afther the treatment(P0.05),but TESS was significantly lower in the group treated by antis-chizophrenic drugs and paroxetine than that in the group treated by antischizophrenc drugs and amitriptylime(P0.05).Conclu-sion The curative effect of paroxetine on depression and anxiety is significantly better and safer than that of amitriptyline.
