Title: Field Trials of Plant-based Nematicide Against Tobacco Root-knot Nematode
Abstract: In order to replace the chemical nematicides of high toxicity, high residue and high cost, the field trials were conducted to study the control effect of a plant-based nematicide against tobacco root-knot nematode.Plant-based nematicide 15%WP(30,45 kg/ha),microbial nematicides Xiandi 5% granule(27 kg/ha) and Abamectin 5% granule(45 kg/ha),and Temik(13.5 kg/ha,CK) were applied at the time of transplanting, respectively. The results showed that the plant-based nematicide applied at the two different rates could control tobacco root-knot nematode effectively. At drought conditions, the control effect of plant-based nematicide in plot trials was between 66.55% and 72.23%,which was higher than that of Temik, significantly better than that of Xiandi, and the control effect of Abamectin was relatively lower. The results of field demonstration trials agreed with those of plot demonstration trials.
